Product Description

The ZED-428 is a combination of 40 years mixing desks production of A&H. A padless DuoPre TM mic/line pre-amplifier, the new design first fitted with the ZED-14 delivers a high-headroom with a low-noise signal. The 4 band, 2 sweep EQ together with the low noise summing amps comes from the renowned GL2400, while the simplified bus architecture, but equally understandable, is a version of the one used in the noteworthy GL series. Cakewalk’s music creation and audio production software bundle, SONAR LE, together with the ZED-428 give you a great high spec digital audio workstation.
The USB audio interface, with its unique flexible potentiality, allows distinct signals to be sent to USB, from LR or selected aux buses while the return signal may be routed to the LR mix directly or to a stereo channel. For easy plugging & patching the connectors are arranged on the top surface. The individual circuit boards are firmly secured to the top panel making this mixer as solid as the Allen & Heath’s high standard ML Series mixers.
Along with the sixteen mono channels you get two dual stereo channels with a main jack stereo input and additional ones on phono sockets. By selecting the USB return to one of the additional inputs it feeds the main LR bus or the stereo channel. The DuoPre TM, a two stage pre-amp design carefully controls the amount of gain in each stage, giving thus a better control of signal level. Of the 6 aux sends, 1&2 are for monitoring, 3&4 are switched for pre or post-fade effects send while 5&6 are only post-fade
Getting audio to and from your computer is as easy as plugging a USB lead from your computer to the ZED mixer, select the USB routing on the mixer plus the device on your computer and it’s done.
